SITUATION IN CYPRUS FIRM ACTION TAKEN (Elec. Tel. Copyright— United Press Assn.) (Received Oct. 27, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 26. The Colonial Office has issued a communique stating that yesterday s telegram from Sir Ronald Storrs indicated that the situation in Cyprus was quiet, although still tense. No British officials or civilians were injured. Precautionary measures were being taken to ensure the continued safety of British women, and children. A message from Nicosia states that at the request of Sir Ronald Storrs four bombers arrived from Egypt.
