Racing in the second round of tlio Gisborao Rowing Club’s first trial fours, Geo. Forbes (str.), Peel-Walker, Malcomson, and Colebourne defeated R. Bait (str.), Dodd, Gardiner, and Sealy by a margin of three-quarters of a length. The winners went away at the start with a fast burst, blit Bait sustained bis sprint onco be got liiSi boat moving, arid was on level terms at Bal* lance street bridge. On the run down the long straight, to Derby street bridge Bait had a slight advantage, but Forbes got a good response to his call for Weight, and with a. hard drive took his boat to the front again, winning by the margin indicated.
