Dalgety arid Co. have received advice from London that 9726 bales were offered at the sheepskin sales, and 6208 bales sold. Following is a rango of prices realised : —Merino; threcquartcr to full woolled, 4d to 6d, quarter to half woolled 2£d to 4d, short and shorn l£d to 2-id; crossbred, threequarter to full woolled, fine, to 6d, mediurii and coarse 4d to 5-pi; crossbred, quarter to half woolled, fine 4d to sd, medium and coarse 4d to 4£d; crossbred, short and shorn 2fd to 3pl; lambs, 4d to s|d. Advices from Auckland state that the market for maize has hardened somewhat, as farmers are disinclined to open their cribs with values ns low as at present. Merchants are quoting for delivery on trucks at 4s 3d to 4s 4d per bushel net;—Bay of Plenty Times.
