Accused was sentenced to seven days’ gaol for'assaulting Constable Holliiigshead by kicking shim*on'the fate while being placed’ in a taxi, and'for obscene language he was fined £5, m default , one month’s imprisonment. The magistrate, Mr. Salmon, refused to alter his decision in regard to the imprisonment.
