The Chinese, She Jay, who disappeared from the market gardens at Himatangi, where he was employed, on Sunday night, was discovered in Feilding, having . taken the wrong direction and walked to Feilding instead of to Foxton. Word of Jay’s whereabouts was received in Foxton from a Feilding Chinese with whom > Jay is staying. Jay was to have accompanied several companions to Foxton, who went ahead of him, but he, however, took the wrong road and kept on walking throughout the night in gum boots, and did not discover his mistake until he reached the shop of a countryman in Feilding at 10 o’clock the next morning.
