SUFFOCATED BY CYANIDE
FUMIGATION OF A FLAT SYDNEY, Oct. 10. When a flat was being fumigated at Darlinghurst some of the cyanide fumes penetrated to the flat below, and suffocated Airs. Priscilla Wicks (or Banks), 65, an American negress. Her daughter, Mrs. Edna Clarmont, 21, entered the flat at 1 p.m. and found her mother lying dead on the floor. The daughter in turn was overcome by tho fumes, and was removed to a hospital in a serious condition. It was some hours before tho police could make a thorough examination of the room owing to the presence of fumes.
