At the Synod of the Diocese of Wuiapu it was decided: “That a commission be st;t np to examine the boundaries of parishes and parochial districts throughout the diocese, such .commission to consist of Archdeacon Butterfield, the Rev. G. B. Stephenson, Mr. H. R. Clark, Mr. Tai Mitchell, Mr. J. G. Appleton and the mover (convenor), and to report on the same in the first place to the Standing committee of the Bynod and ultimately to the next session of the Synod.”
