MOTORIST’S LICENSE
CANCELLATION WANTED A case that will be of much interest to motorists is to do heard in the Christchurch Magistrate’s Court in a day' or two. Most motorists know that upon a conviction for negligent driving the magistrate has power to cancel or suspend a person 's license to drive. Under the third-party insurance scheme the insurance company' nominated by the motorist may, if it thinks fit, apply to a magistrate to have that motorist’s licenso cancelled.
A Christchurch insurance company lias taken steps to have a man’s license cancelled, and a well-known Dunedin barrister is to defend him.
