In the International Tourists Trophy rate An the Isle of Man for lightweight motor-cycles, with engines under '250 c.c. Tyrell Smith finished second and Mcllors third. The foreign machines seemed outclassed. The Italian crack rider, G. Her.sei, came in sixth, but lie was riding a British New Imperial cycle with an engine with pistons having a diameter no bigger than a wine glass. They stood the race with astonishing efficiency.
