NEW USES FOR WOOL
IMPORTANT DISCOVERIES
LONDON, .March 31. The efforts of the Wool Industries Research Association of Leeds to find new uses for wool have resulted iu two imports ill discoveries. Laboratory work is now being carried out to develop wool as hoot uppers. An imitation leather finish has been applied to the new material, which is reputedly more durable than leal her, as •it does not crack or rot. It is also i suitable for general upliolstfcry. The other discovery is the use of worsted , yarns as electric cable insulators, for I which orders have bean placed-
