GAMES ON THE COAST TAWHITI BEATS WAIMA (Herald Correspondent.) 'Die Tawhiti t Wnipirn Hay) Rugby Football Club opined its season on Monday, with a liaint 1 against Iho Waiina chili ('l’oKoniarn J !a>'>, the match taking place on the Tawhiti clnb’.s home ground, and resulting in the defeat of Waiina by 111 points to 3 after a hard tussle. There was the usual display of willing spirit and weakening Mesh in this lirst engagement, blit the players kept the pace on fairly well throughout the game, and the form shown gives an indication that this season’s football will be full of interest. The Tawhiti club is withdrawing from the Ituatoria sub-union district, and’de-
sires to play in the Tokomani subunion, which .should do much to strengthen the latter district, it. is understood that the change of afliliation on the part of Tawhiti will be the subject of lively discussion at the annua! meeting of the East Coast Ktigby Union.
