FLAG FOR GOV.-GENERAL
RESULT OF S.A. CONTROVERSY LONDON, January 20. Contrary to the earlier impression an authority in close touch with Court circles, expresses the opinion that the special flag for the Karl of Clarendon was devised to conciliate South Africa Nationalist opinion, bearing in mind the bitter flag controversy three years ago. The same authority states that it is an isolated ease and is not likely to bo extended to the other Dominions, where no question of flags has recently been raised.
