ALLEGED ATTEMPT TO DOPE
BRISBANE, Pee. 22. A. sensational incident occurred at Callaghan Park Racecourse, Rockhampton, on Saturday afternoon, when an attempt is alleged to have been made to dope Prince Jtys in his stall prior to the start of the Maiden Handicap. Police apprehended two men, who, it, is alleged, were, seen near the horse s stall, and handed them to the stewards, who charged them with haying attempted to dope the horse. A piece ot thistle picked up near the stall is being analysed.
