THE YEAR’S BAD RECORD 15 MURDERS; 100 HOLD-UPS (Received Dec. 31, 11 a.m.) •SYDNEY, Dec. 31. Fifteen murders, many manslaughter cases, scores of suicides, 100 bold-ups, and innumerable burglaries is the police crime summary for New South Wales for 1930, makjng one of the most formidable on record. The hundredi.li hold-up occurred last night when two men attacked a woman at Waverley, viciously assaulted her, gagged and” bound her to chair, stole l'2s and cvaped. The .woman collapsed under the terrifying ordeal and was urn conscious -for some time.
