DONATIONS AMOUNT TO £42 The response to the appeal for Christmas cheer for the patients ut the Cook Hospital was well worthy of the generous reputation of Poverty Bay people. Cash donations totalled over £42, and thei’e were many contributions of toys, books, gramophone records, And a variety of other articles which proved most acceptable for distribution on Christmas morning. The children’s ward was particularly fortunate, as was appropriate, and there was no child in the institution who did not share the pleasures of t,ho sfibson.
