PEAK YEAR STATISTICS OVER 500 MILLIONAIRES WASHINGTON, Dee. 2S. Five hundred and eleven persons, with incomes of 1,000,000 dollars or more, paid income taxes in .1028. This was an increase of 221 over the previous year and represented the peak of America's prosperity. Million dollar incomes in 1929 and 1930 are expected to show a. sharp shrinkage. Twenty-six persons in 1928 had incQinies of 5,000,000 dollars or more, and 186.000,000 dollars was paid in income taxes. During that year 2.523,000 peri sons reported total incomes of 25,226,000.000 dollars, and 2(58,000 corporate bodies reported incomes of 10,617.000,000 dollars.
