CHICAGO. Dee. 15. The Cliff Tea Room was robbed by a. belli gang on December 1, and, because tlie proprietor expected return visit a policeman in plain clothes was installed to watcli. 1 •At 1 O’clock to-day two bandits called, and 20 customers were ordered to line themselves against- a wall for a. rapid robbery. Before the patrons had time to liso from the tables, however, the policeman neatly tired two spots, killing belli the robbers instantly.
