A POOR RECEPTION
INDIAN DELEGATES GOVERNMENT CEREMONY (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Dec. 24, .10 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 23. The Government reception to the delegates to the Indian Conference, held in the Indian section of the Imperial Institute, showed lack of imagination, according to the Daily Express. The rulers and their ladies in gorgeous robes and diamonds entered as if they were like characters from a fairy tale. They were entertained with coffee, claret cup, and cakes. A few films, including the Empire Marketing Board’s, were shown; otherwise the maharajahs and nawabs were left to spend several hours in chilly and cheerless halls studying the mineral and cereal products of their own country.
