ILLEGAL PROGRAMME

RUGBY TEST AFTERMATH (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Reserved judgment was given at Christchurch yesterday by Mr. H. P. Lowry, S.AL, in the case in which Archibald Kennedy and Joseph James Meldrum, printers, of Dunedin, were charged with printing a programme for the Test match Britain v. New Zealand at Lancaster Parle on July 5 without a license from tlie New Zealand Rugby Union.

The magistrate said that he was satisfied that what was printed by defendants purported to lie a programme of the match. However, the charge was not as serious as it might have .been, as it was one only of printing, and not publishing. He fined the defendants £2.
