CANADA TACKLES TEOBLEM
WINNIPEG, Sept. 17. Banks in Canada have already put into effect, to a considerable extent, suggestions made by the Premier, Mr. .Joint Bracken, for relief of farmers op pressed by adverse conditions now existing) in the grain market. This is the statement- of Mr. Bracken, made on Tuesday night, after representatives of the banks and of the Manitoba Government conferred at the Legislative Building. Tho Premier stated that the conference was held to develop the market ■for tho province’s barley crop, improve tho market, for livestock, and lessen, if possible, the number of workmen leaving the farms for the cities, where they might add to tho ranks of the unemploy it.
