Mr. R. McLaughlin, accountant of the Gisborne branch of the Bank of New Zealand, who lias been appointed relieving manager of the Nelson branch, was farowellecl by members of the Cosmopolitan Club on Tuesday afternoon, when ho was the recipient, of a small gift as a token of the high esteem in which lie was held by them. They expressed, regret, at- his departure, but joined in wishing both him and Mrs. McLaughlin a happy and prosperous future. Mr. McLaughlin made a suitable reply.
