CAUGHT IN MACHINERY
YOUNG MAN’S DEATH (Per Press Association.) MASTER,TON, last night. Donald Laing, 20. a son of Mr. Gordon Laing, of Upper Plain, Masterton, was killed to-day while working a wood sawing plant at Rowarewa station, Tainui. It appears that tlie hell came off the machine and the deceased, in attempting to stop the engine, got caught in the machinery. Deceased’s neck was broken and his skull fractured.
