Exchanges were brisker in the second 'round, La Barba scoring to the body and Chocolate to the chin; La Barba was pasted early in the third, but rallied sensationally, and staggered Chocolate with a two-listed attack. La Barba held the. advantage in the fourth round and kept' his opponent., on the defensive. Both slowed down in the fifth round.
La, Barba remained tbo aggressor and Chocolate remained on the defensive in tho sixth u'ouml.
Jolted by La Barba's left uppercuts, just before Hie bell, Chocolate rallied in tho seventh, and outboxed and outfought La Barba.
There was not much to choose between the men in the eighth round, and the crowd “boo-e.d' the hugging tactics of both.
Fliucolalo stung La, Barba in- the ninth, during a sluggingcontest, ;'".rhp. Cuban making a come-back, but bis foeman gave little ground. La Barba clinched the light in the tonth round, with a whirlwind finish, and clouted Chocolate heavily fo the body.
