MURDER OF WOMEN BRITISH CONSUL’S BRAVERY (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 10 a.in. RUGBY, Nov. 4. The Foreign Secretary gave the House of Commons a detailed account of events connected will) the murder by Chinese bandits of Mrs. Nettleton and Miss Harrison, two British women missionaries, and the unavailing efforts to save', them. . He described the courageous attempts of the British Consul. Air. Martin, to effect their release, and the personal risks he ran. The British Minister formally demanded punitive measures against the culprits, and the Chinese Government replied that they would be severely handled. Apparently the ( hinese authorities •were still attempting to bring the giuiltv to justice. Mr.' Baldwin asked if the Foreign Secretary would convey to Mr. Martin an appreciation from the House for his gallant conduct. _ ' Mr. Henderson said he certainly would do so.
