FRASERTOWN WEDDING

HIGGS—BECKETT (Herald Correspondent.) A very pretty and popular wedding was solemnised at Christ Church, Frasertown, on Tuesday. The contracting parties were Trevor Terence, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Higgs, of Gisborne (who unfortunately were unable to be present), and (.trace -Amy. youngest daughter 1 of Mr. and Mrs. George Beckett, of Frasertown. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in it dainty frock of shell pink crepe-de-chine, with flare dipping ;tt the back, the frock being finished with diamante at the neck; she wore also silver shoes and stockings and a shell-pink veil, held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms' The veil was beautifully hand-worked, and the gift of Mrs. W. Mogridge. The bride, who looked very charming, carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and fern, also the gift of Mrs. Mogridge.

The bridesmaid, Miss Higgs, sister of the bridegroom, wore a Princess Mary blue georgette frock, cut on Victorian lines, with flared skirt, dipping at the back and finished with diamante at the waist. She had a band of gold leaves, finished with a bow of tulle, gold shoes and stockings, and carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums and fern. The best- man was Mr Harold Beckett, brother of the bride. At the conclusion of the ceremoiiv. at which Archdeacon Butterfield officiated, the reception took place, at the residence of the bride's parents, where a threetier wedding cake, handsomely decorated and the gift of Mrs. L. T. Beckett, was cut and many congratulatory speeches were made. Among those present were (lie bride's mother, who wore a handsome model frock of black lace over crepe-de-chine, black hat- an'd shoes, grey tulle fichu, and carried a bouquet of gold and red chrysanthemums. Mrs. W. .Mogridge wore a model frock of rose pink crepe-de-chine with fawn trim. tilings, shell-pink hat relieved with fawn ribbon, and a colored spray, and fawn shoes and stockings.

Among the guests present were Archideacon Butterfield: Mrs. Ntftecy. who presided at the organ, and wore a smart black coat with fur trimmings and hat to tone: Mrs. Jack Beckett, figured velvet: Mrs. C. Beckett, smart red jumper suit, with hat and shoes to tone; Miss H. Ratcliffc: Mrs. Clifford; Messrs. .T. C. and A. Beckett. Mogridge and Ellison.
