PRINCE OF WALES’ TOUR
RECEPTION AT KHARTOUM FILMING BIG GAME LONDON, April 15. A ■ message from Khartoum states that the Prince of Wales received 30 native leaders, gorgeously robed in purple, and wearing jewelled swords, at the historic palace, including Abdel Roliman El Malidi, the eldest living son of the Dervish leader who speared General Gordon to death on the steps of the palace when it was captured after the desperate siege in 1885, two days before the relief force was sighted; and also Sir Syred Ali, who claims to be descended from the prophet Mahomet. The Prince of Wales, with his equerries, during the hunting trip have taken 7000 ft. of film, including 300 elephants crossing a- river, two of which wove in difficulties, and the others went (o their assistance. The Prince got within 40yds. and secured wonderful photographs.
