MR. A. E. GUINNESS’ SEAPLANE LONDON, Fob. 22. A luxurious tluce-engined monoplane air yacht has been constructed at Victor's Supermarine Works, South ampton, for the Hon. A. E. Guinness. If is tlie first of its kind to lie built in this country to. the order of a private* owner. Mr. Guinness is the second son of tile late Ixird Iveagih. and for the past two seasons lias used the Supermarine Solent three-engined biplane flying-boat when crossing from England to bis castle in Ireland, and for cruises over the Irish lakes. The air yacht can carry six passengers, a crew of three, and (OOlb. of baggage for 65(1 miles; but with full tanks and a minimum crew, 2000 miles can he flown without refuelling. Side-by-side dual control is fitted, and there are two open cockpits for the use of passengers. The saloon and cabins' are provided .with sideboards, dressingtables. book cases, and wardrobes. Electric light and wireless are installed, and a ventilating system supplies warm or cold air to allow an even temperatire The crow have sleeping berths and lockers.
