“DRY” WEEK-ENDS
HUNGARIAN SCHEME LONDON, Feb. IS. The Hungarian Home Office is perfecting a scheme for the introduction of prohibition during week-ends. Ii is proposed that all restaurants, inns, and bars shall be closed from Saturday midday until Monday morning, ami dancing halls and cal’e.s will be forbidden to sell alcohol during that time. The ‘prohibition will later be extended to cover nil public holidays. The Alinislcrs of Finance and Agriculture have doubts about the suitability of this idea, and it is not impossible that the plan may be wrecked during the debate of the ministerial council.
