Archer, speaking at tin' ripening of the St. Albans Tennis Club’s new courts in Springfield road. “I hope you will stick to lawn tennis for many years. The most disgraceful thing in sport as far as Christchurch is concerned is the large and increasing number of young men who are playing bowls. There ought to bo tin unwritten law that no voting fellow should start playing bowls until lie is a little bit older than I am myself.”
