FREEZING WORKS DISPUTE NO FURTHER INTERRUPTION (Per Press Association.) CUE 1 CTOHIiRCH, this clay. As :: result, of the statement made bv the slaughtermen yesterday that there would be no further interruptions, the freezing companies in South Canterbury are now hopeful that the trouble which has extended over eight davs, is at an end. At Pareora, the men commenced work yesterday morning at the rate of eight sheep per hour. A meeting was held from 10 to 11 a.in,, when normal killing was resumed. After lunch, a further meeting was held which lasted approximatelw until .3 o’clock, when the men informed the management that there would be no further internipt ions. At Bm.ilhfiehl a meeting was held ftom ,s till 9.15, when normal killing commenced. A further meeting was held from 1 till 2.30 p.m., and work is again proceeding at the normal rate.
