A STRANGE TRAGEDY
3 MEN ELECTROCUTED SEQUEL TO PLANE SMASH (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Deceived April 15, 11 a.in.) VANCOUVER, April 14. Throe were killed in an extraordinary accident when a plane became entangled in a high tension wire at the edge of the airport at Ypsilanti, Michigan. Levi Koppler, a bank manager, a passenger, was electrocuted. When the plane burst into flames, Harry Walters, manager of the airport, witnessing, the accident, ran to the rescue with a chemical lire extinguisher, lie turned it on the blaze, but the strong current from the high tension wire followed the stream back to Walters, killing him instantly. Joint Corby rushed forward and tried to rescue Walters, but was electrocuted when lie touched the body. The pilot and one other plane passenger were unharmed.
