ASCENT OF KINCHIN JUNGA DARJEELING, April 14. The last detachment of the Kinchinjuiiga expedition lias begun its journey after several days’ delay, due to monetary complications, a sudden change of route having necessitated a much larger equipment of mule transport, kit, and feed, for which there are insutl'icionf funds, which Professor Dyhrenfurth alone could supply. lie had already started, hut, as lie had not left power of attorney, an express messenger had to be sent, after him afoot to track the leader through (lie mountains. The messenger, who travelled at an incredible speed, overtook Professor Dyhreiiturth, got his signature to the needful documents, and was back at Darjeeling inside 48 hours.
