LABOR’S DEFEAT
CHRISTCHURCH COUNCIL (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Tlio offer of the Labor representatives to relinquish the reins of office was accepted by the representatives of the Citizens’ Association at last- night’s meeting of the City Council. Until the next meeting of the council, however, all committees as at- present constituted will function, and in the meantime a sub-committee will prepare recommendations as to the personnel of the, committees.
