BACK FROM SAMOA
PARTY OF MARINES (P«r ARROclation.} AUCKLAND, this day. Under the command of Captain M. Hardy Spicer, R.N., with whom was Lieutenant Gladstone, R.N., the party of 25 marines who remained in Samoa after the departure of H.M.S. Dunedin, arrived at Auckland on the Tofua last night. Except for a few minor injuries and sicknesses, the men have returned in good health. They had been in Samoa for a little over two months, ami general pleasure was expressed at their return to Auckland. One marine was left at Apia on account" of illness. After the departure of. the Dunedin, the party did garrison duty at Lepea, near Apia.
