Ltd., in tlie Magistrate’s Court to-day, claiming £75 allegedly owing, but. the ease came to a sudden end when Mr. T. li. McNeil, S.M., decided that lie had no jurisdiction. The comedian’s claim is that Williamson, Ltd., agreed to pay him a. share of the profits, with a. guarantee of not less than £2OO a week, to he paid each week, and for the week ending March 23 he was paid only £125, the claim being for the balance.. Mr. McNeil’s decision was ,on the ground that J. C. Williamson. Ltd., were insntlieiently described on the plaint as carrying on business in Wol•luigtoii and elsewhere in New Zealand, as theatrical managers.
