RABBIT EXTERMINATION
Tho Last (bast Rabbit Board met to-day, there being present Messrs- C. (j Holdsworth. chairman, M. T. Truiford, arid F. M. Monckton. Inspector ’I. Dawson, of YVairoa, leported : “During the month T have been to Xgatapa and To Hoe, and found the country there, in fair order. A rabbit Was reported to have been seen at \Vai-. tui. but I found no traces there. Hepongaere. anil Tangihanga stations are being inspected, while J have been over the greater part ot the coast country between Wairoa. Opmitaina and YYViareriita, and discovered traces of rabbits on the sandhills near Opoiio station. Tile number of rabbits killed during the month were: Moluika 1, Mnvmgataniwha 2, Rat ere 1. total 4."
Inspector H'. Ihirgess, of Whakatiine, reported: “Last, month 1 inspected a considerable portion of my district, nml, afiart from the Waiohau-Uahitea country, very few traces of rabbits were to lie. seen. CoMfriry to reports forwarded to me, I found no traces of rabbits at Opotiki. Tanoatun, Ohopi, and Thornton. Rabbits killed during the month were; .Sandhills 1, Wrtiohnu 4, Galatea 9, Mat era Wlvirinaki 1, total 17.”
