A BITTER CRITIC
SIR A. KNOX ATTACKED SCENE IN FEDERAL HOUSE CANBERRA, April 10. There was a violent .scene in* the House this afternoon when Mr. Eldridge, Labor member for Parramatta, attacked Sir Adrian Knox, former Chief Justice of the High Court. Mr. Eldridge declared that Sir Adrian Knox had made a sensational exit from the judiciary, after his hand had been exposed, and after becoming'a beneficiary to the extent of £1,000,000 under the will of v a man who had thrown thousands of families into misery and .suffering. Opposition members shouted protests, whereupon the chairman of committees ruled that judges who resigned were exposed to criticism and enjoyed no Parliamentary protection.
