REAL DRAMA IN THEATRE LONDON. Alarcli 30. A revolver shot rang out in the Empire Theatre at Wood Green while drums were rolling on the darkened stage during the performance of a war drama. The majority of the audience thought it part of the show, -but ntl(udnn(s, lushing up to the balcony, found an ox soldier, Richard Barton, who was accompanied by his wife, with a bullet wound in the head. He. died later in hospital.
