DEATH DEFIED FOUR TIMES
CONTRACTOR’S CHARMED LIFE LONDON, April 4. Air. George Cawley, a Ohertsey treefeller and contractor, lias again escaped death —for the fourth time. In the last two years he lias fallen from a 70ft tree, recovered from the clfects of an explosion, and escaped from a lorry which burst info flames when proceeding along a country Jane. Now Mr. Cawley has escaped uninjured from a motor-lorry which ran up a hank and overturned. He chose to collide with the bank rather than come into collision with a five-ton lorry. His vehicle overturned, but only one of the four men in it was injured. ’ This was his brother, Air. A. Cawley, who cut his knee on tho broken glass of the side door. Air. George Cawley escaped' with a bumped head and a torn shirt.
