LEFT BY A DUKE’S AGENT LONDON, Feb. 1 ti. Shaftesbury A veilin' will miss the familiar figure of “The (’mint,” otherwise Mr. Ernest Mason Duke, who has just -inherited £40,000. The legacy was left .to him by his brother, William Frederick Duke, who was for many years agent to the Duke of Norfolk at Arundel. “'The (fount” is a well-loved figure in theatreland, where he has worked or 35 years as an actor and as dresser to many noted players, including George Alexander, Mr. Leonard Bovne, Mr. Robert Loraiuc, anil Mr. Ronald .'-quire. Mr. Duke earned the nick-name ot “The Count” because of his well-cut clothes, the jaunty angle at which he wore his black hat. and the excellent cigar which he invariably sum!: - I.
