The Blenheim Oil Co. reports as follows: Drilling resumed; depth of well 1850f.t-; formation, hard quart/, sandstone; slight raving immediately above bottom. .Some time lost muclding off. The South African shipment of maize has practically all found its way into thfcf hands of traders, and there is little life in the spot market at the moment. The quality has been excellent and ferns to fully justify the new methods of storing adopted in South Africa. On t'io spot merchants sell maize through f ore at 6s 9<l a bushel. The Java rb’nment of maize is due here at the end of next month. —Auckland Sun.
