FOUND POISONED
A VALUABLE GREYHOUND (Special to the Herald.) AUCKLAND, this day. The racing greyhound, Rolling Stone, winner of the Te Aroha Coursing Club’s championship last year, was found dead from the effects of poisoning last evening. The dog, which was owned by Mr. L. Flay, was given a run early in the evening and later was chained to his kennel. At 11 p.m. it was found dead beside a broken chain. Two veterinary surgeons stated that the dog had died from the effects of a quick-acting poison. The loss is a severe one to the owner, who had refused several tempting casli offers for the dog.
