CHILDREN IN DIET TEST
MILK RATION EVERY DAY Ten thousand children in 07 schools throughout Lanarkshire participated last month in the start of a test in dietetics. The scheme is sponsored by the Government and lias the backing of tlic Scottish Board of Health, Agriculture, and Education.
The children will be fed on Grade A milk for four or five months and their progress will lie periodically contrasted with boys and girls who have not been given the diet. Every child taking part in the test is to receive three-quarters of a pint of milk each school day, and the cost, which is being borne by the Empire Marketing Board and other agencies, will be about £IOO a day.
