Although the Kirk-Windeycr Cup matches were definitely allocated to the Christ church club’s links at Shirley this year, it was not until l)r. Sydney Jones and Air. Alex. Russell, captains of the New South Wales and Victorian teams hjul played over the course yesterday that it was definitely decided that the matches should be played here. There had been a prolonged dry spell and the links were dry in consequence, but otherwise in excellent order. Dr. Jones and Ah. Russell declared that they were satisfied with the course and the matches will begin on Alonday. The order of play will be: Monday and Tuesday, Victoria v. New Zealand; Wednesday and Thursday, winners v. New South Wales.
