DEVELOPMENTS EXPECTED
I LABOR AND THE ALLIANCE (Ppr Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Interesting developments are expected to take place in Labor circles as the' result of the Alliance of Labor urging unions to refrain from giving evidence before the committee of inquiry into the Workers' Compensation Act. It has been indicated already that there is no unanimity among Labor officials, and to a certain extent matters came to a bead at a recent meeting of the Trades and Labor Council, which is!; affiliated to the Alliance of Labor as a district council, when a motion was moved supporting the action of the National Council of the Alliance of Labor. The motion was defeated, though not by a very substantial majority. The matter is to be discussed again by the Trades and Labor Council at its next meeting, which, it is stated, should be an eventful one.
