U.S. TRIBUTE TO KING
"KINDLY DIGNITY" NEW YORK, dan. 23. The New York World to-day contains a very effective cartoon, untitled "An Audience with the King," showing an American householder, sitting in his pyjamas before the wireless listening to King George's voice at the opening of the Conference. From the loud speaker come the words: "With the object of eliminating the evil results of wasteful competition in naval armaments." Professor Cabell Greet, of Columbia University, writing in the front page of ihe New York American and the associated Hearst, newspapers, says: "Tho .speech of the King left an impression of singular grace and kindly dignity. One can appreciate tho affection in which the King is held."
