The monthly stock sale was held at Hu' Opoliki saleynnls on Thursday last. The New' Zealand Loan and "Mercantile Agency Co., reports as follows:- “We offered a full yarding ( ,i' ,u tic to a large attendance of the pabiie. but buyers were .scarce and we report a dull sale, more especially for young and poor-conditioned stock, prices realised show a decided drop on late rates. Prices: 4th wethers, £1; Romney rams, aged, iil ss; wenner pio-s, i!i PJs; wenner heifers, poor demand. to I'd; IK-montks heifers lo £7; fa.l cows. £(! 5s to £7 3s; forward cows, £5 to £f) Ids; cull cotvs, 25s to wearier steers to £2 ss; IS month steers, £5 14s to £4 6s; 2J*yottr stoers, £5 lo £7 I4h; bulls, £3 3s to £5 55,"
