Mesdames J. C. Taylor and G. H. Ritchie, of Hawke’s Bay, are visiting relatives in Gisborne for a few days. Mr. W. A. Martin, general manager of the National Mutual Life Association, is expected to arrive in Gisborne this afternoon on a short visit.
The best wishes of the club for a pleasant voyage and happy holiday were extended at to-day’s Rotary Club luncheon to Rotiirian G. 1 • Bull, who leaves Gisborne on Thursday on a. three months’ visit to Australia. Mr J. Roberts, secretary of the Alliance of Labor, who is Labor representative on tlie New Zealand delegation to the International Labor Conference at Geneva, was farewelled ov a. large gatli ering of associates at the Trades Hall. Wellington, and made the recipient of a suitable presentation.
