INTERNATIONAL CONCERTS

The fust i,i tin; international series of coucerts promoted by .Miss Muriel Smith and Air. John tWrjngtofl-Wellby will take place in Iho City Hall next Friday, April 11, and everything is being clone to present mi interesting and finished programme. The items will consist of solos, both instrumental mid vocal, awl ducts, quartets, and quintets. The principals have loon preparing their items tor some time, and nothing has been left to ehanee. Darin:; the, interval Air. W. Cl)risp will present vocal and instrumental items on the radio-electric phonograph. Whether the piomotors will be. able to carry out the full series of concerts projected for the season depends upon the support forthcoming next Friday night, and, it- is hoped that the endeavor to provide music-lovers of (!ishtomo with something new in the way of concert programmes will meet with generous support. Children will be admitted to-any part, of the hall at half-price. As these concerts are intended as an education in music to lh> young people, it is hoped that, parents and teachers will encourage their attendance as much as possible. The stage decorations will be arranged by .Messrs. Crundv and Nhoiman, and will be sot according to the nation that is being dealt with.
