WEDDING

JOHANSEN-FAIREY A very pretty wedding was solemnised on March 18. ai St. Paul's Presbyterian Hunch., Napier, when Maria Marjorie, oldest daughter of Mr. and .Mrs. K. It, Fairey, of Napier, and Guidon Henry Atfwood, son of Mr. and .Mrs. l), .lohanseu. Wairoa, were united in the hold bonds of matrimony by the Kev. .1. A. Asher. Sprays of Michaelmas daisies and pink dahlias, intermingled with asparagus fern and white .streamers attached to a huge floral bell, made an artistic setting for the bridal group. Over 60 guests attended the ceremony.

The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was attired in a frock of white satin beaute, long lightfitting bodice, flared petal skirt, ankle length. Her veil of tulle, which formed a long train, was held in place with posies of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of while dahlias and pale pink roses.

The bridesmaids. Misses Miri and Gwen Fairey, sisters of the bride, wore frocks of rose and powder blue georgette respectively, tight-fitting bodices and ankle-length skirts, bands of velvet ribbon at the waist, finished in front with true lovers' knots and' long ends falling to uneven hem. Close -til ting fell hats to match were worn and bouquets of shaded pink dahlias and asters completed charming toilettes. Mr. Athol ..lohanseu was best man, and Mr. Arthur Johausen groomsman.

A reception given by Mr. McConneil, in honor of the bride, was a veritable feast of color. The bridal cake, a, present from Mr. and Mrs. Osier., Wairoa. had pride of place, whilst a floral wedding bell and a. wealth of flowers added charm.

Relations of the happy couple were present, from Wairoa and Hastings.
